MPPSC examination is a gateway to enter into the various posts in Grade 2 and Grade 3 officers. We shall look into each of them and evaluate their functioning and benefits:
Grade 2 Officers Grade 2 officers do hold a special position in the Madhya Pradesh government. They are listed as gazetted officers in the state. Deputy Collector The deputy collector is selected from the state civil service examination and is a position of utmost reverence. You cannot become a deputy collector by simply passing out of a bachelors degree. You need to appear in the civil service examinations for it. Deputy Superintendent of Police The deputy superintendent is responsible for the safety of the region in which they are posted. This post is a respectable post and is equivalent in the functioning of Assistant Commissioner of Police. District Revenue Officer This post functions to collect taxes from all the people falling within the area of his jurisdiction. The post is below the posts of the deputy commissioner and commissioner and therefore the person occupying this post is responsible to handle the documents that are passed on to him by the higher authorities. Grade 3 Officers These officers receive a much lower salary compared to the Grade 2 officers. The different posts under Grade 3 officers are: Naib Tehsildar This post is responsible for storing the data related to the tehsil revenue. You might wonder whether this post requires much hard work. You will be mistaken if you consider that it’s an easy job. A Naib Tehsildar works more than some of the Grade 2 officers in spite of receiving a lower wage. Inspector The inspector is responsible for ensuring the correct functioning of the department for efficient completion of the jobs. Conclusion The other posts that can be taken up with this examination are Assistant Director, Commercial Taxes officers, Assistant Jail Superintendent, Cooperative Inspector and Additional Assistant Development Commissioner. They are equally respectable. Becoming a grade 2 or grade 3 officer isn’t easy!! You have to clear the MPPSC examination with flying colours to occupy the posts.
